Right now is a great time to start looking for a trusted and reputable outfitter to book with for your next hunting adventure this fall. To find an outfitter that is honest, will give you a great hunting experience, and plenty of opportunity at birds can be overwhelming. Consider these points when choosing an outfitter to book with.
First, you should decide how many days you want to hunt. Some outfitters offer a discounted price per hunt if you do not wish to stay overnight or have meals provided. These single day hunts will cost a hunter around $375 per hunt.
Second, if you are coming in from out of town and wish to stay multiple days and hunt you can find that most outfitters offer lodging with their hunting packages. These packages range from $400/day-$975/day depending on the total experience and amenities that you are looking for. Don't be afraid to ask the outfitter multiple questions about their operation and the services they provide to ensure that your expectations are met when you arrive.
Keep in mind, some outfitters have certain requirements to book these package hunts such as:
- A minimum of 4-6 hunters per party to book.
- A minimum of 3 days of hunting to book.
- Up to a 50% deposit to hold your spot in the outfitter's books.
Make sure you call the outfitter that you are considering using, prior to booking the hunt. This will ensure that your hunting party meets all of the outfitter's requirements.
Finally, when planning your next hunt in Ponca City, keep in mind all of these facts listed above and don't hesitate to call more than one outfitter in the area to see what they have to offer.
