What does it cost to hunt in Ponca City, Oklahoma?

June 21, 2021

We are currently in the heat of summer in Oklahoma. This heat is making us all ready to get into a blind this fall. Right now is a great time to start looking for a trusted, reputable outfitter to book with for your next hunting adventure this fall. Increasing popularity of the sport, and increasing pressure on the birds, especially in Ponca City,  can make it difficult to book a good quality hunt with ample opportunity. To find an outfitter that is honest, will give you a great hunting experience, and plenty of opportunity at birds can be overwhelming. We've gathered information here to make your decision a little easier.

First, you should decide how many days you want to hunt. Some outfitters offer a discounted price per hunt if you do not wish to stay overnight or have meals provided. These single day hunts will cost a hunter around $375 per hunt.

If you are coming from out of town and wish to stay multiple days and hunt, most outfitters offer lodging with their hunting packages.  These packages range from $400/day-$975/day depending on the outfitter. Some outfitters have certain requirements to book these multiple day hunts such as:

  • A minimum of 4-5 hunters to book.
  • A minimum of 3 days to book.
  • Up to a 50% deposit to hold your spot in your outfitter's books.

Make sure you call your outfitter prior to booking to ensure that your hunting party meets all of your outfitters requirements.
